Somewhere along the way, “more” got mistaken for “better.”
More options.
More stuff.
More spending disguised as self-care.
But what most of us are actually craving is ease.
This year, even my holiday shopping ran through a different filter:
Would this be genuinely useful, enjoyable, or appreciated?
Not flashy.
Not filler.
Not destined for a junk drawer.
Just thoughtful upgrades to everyday life.
A Better Filter for Buying Anything
Before purchasing, try asking:
- Would I be happy to receive this?
- Will this be used or enjoyed regularly?
- Does this add value — or just volume?
When you choose fewer, better things, you reduce:
- clutter
- guilt
- wasted money
- decision fatigue
And you increase:
- satisfaction
- gratitude
- alignment
Takeaway for the reader:
Abundance isn’t about more. It’s about choosing well.
