Distractions, Spring and New Beginnings!

Hey, you! Long time, no see.

I have not posted a blog in a bit. I got distracted. But I’m back! And I’m excited to dig into Love Middle Life, bringing great content on my blog and podcast, and my first newsletter is in the works. I hope you jump back in with me to all-things-middle-life!

According to a Harvard study, our minds wander 47 percent of the time. You know what I mean…you’ll be doing one thing one minute but thinking about something else.

“Some would argue that human attention, not money, is the most valuable commodity there is,” said Angela Duckworth, the author of “Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance,” and the founder and scientific director of Character Lab, a nonprofit that connects researchers with educators. “It’s the ultimate scarce resource.”

Time keeps on clicking by, and by this time of the year, we are all anxiously awaiting spring. It’s twelve days away: March 20, 2023!

While spring has not sprung quite yet, here are some things to look forward to when it arrives:

  • Warmer temps
  • The sun
  • Longer days
  • Outdoor concerts
  • Patios and cocktails
  • Blooming gardens
  • Flip Flops
  • Farmer’s markets
  • Open windows
  • Baseball

Ultimately, spring is a time of refocusing, fresh perspective, and appreciating the little things, which are, in fact, important.

Here’s to new beginnings! I’ll be seeing you here more often and can’t wait to get reconnected with you!
