Growing Veggies from Seed: Practical Steps to Success:

  1. Seed Selection: Pick varieties suited to your region. Trina recommends heirloom seeds for that extra burst of flavor.
  2. Supplies You Need: Gather your essentials – seed trays, quality soil, grow lights (if starting indoors), and labels for organization.
  3. Timing is Everything: Consult your local frost dates and count backward to determine the best time to start your seeds indoors.
  4. Starting Seeds Indoors: Follow Trina’s lead – sow your seeds in trays, keep them warm, and watch those little green shoots emerge.
  5. Transitioning to Outdoor Beds: As spring approaches, harden off your seedlings by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions.
  6. Outdoor Bed Preparation: Get your garden beds ready by clearing debris, amending soil with compost, and ensuring proper drainage.
